I’m still trying to wrap my head around yesterday.

Every hour just kept getting better… and somehow the universe decided to one-up itself.

I announced the 8th anniversary + relaunch of TAOSbyLaw, talked about taking the leap with everything I'm planning to do right now—then my cousin hits me with the wildest message:

She’s going to a signing to meet Kevin Smith. Yes, that Kevin Smith—Mallrats, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob, the man whose stories and Q&As have been part of my creative DNA for years. His Wayne Gretzky story lives rent-free in my head.

When I said how much I love his work, she asked, “Do you want me to have him sign your book?”

MY. BOOK.

TO THE BOY THAT GREW UP.

Today, she sent me photos of Kevin Smith—holding and signing my book.
I honestly still can’t process it.

His quote from the YouTube video "Do It Anyway" has always stuck out to me:

“In order to get where you’re going, it requires a reasonable amount of unreasonability.”

And this is where I cry...
She said, "He said you’re the king of your destiny now." 😭

And somehow, on the day I decided to bet on myself and this brand again, that quote came full circle.

I don’t even know what to call this moment except proof that when you align with what you’re meant to do, the universe shows off a little.

Today marks 8 years since I started TAOSbyLaw, and upon reflection, I've had some incredible highs, but I don't think it ever reached the full potential I had envisioned. After pushing hard for a while up until around 2022, I needed some time away to recharge, find my spark again, and really cement what it is that I want to do.

And after some time away, I’m back.
New focus. New systems. Same mission: to tell stories that matter.

Spooky season’s in full swing 👻 and Halloween’s right around the corner — the perfect time to share a few shots from a recent photo walk in NYC, where I tested out a new camera and experimented with a fresh editing style.

I’ve been leaning back into what made me fall in love with photography in the first place — storytelling through light, color, and atmosphere. Sometimes the best creative resets happen on quiet walks with nothing but curiosity and a lens.

Its thorns became the needle.
The ink from its petals.

I got to hang out with the crew at for their Friday the 13th event. Always a fun time, great conversation, and dope vibes.
