Petersburg Alaska. I forgot I hadn’t posted these. Back in early April and I went to Petersburg. It was my first time so I explored a bit while Noe was at the pool getting a recert. These few images are from the sidewalk on the Hammer Slough Bridge, from either side. It rained most of the trip and this was a nice light break so I was able to get a peek at the mountains and some reflection.

What a delightful way to start 2025. New years evening and motivated me to pack my gear, gather some fire wood, and brave the 15 degree weather with her to hunt down some Aurora. It’s been awhile since we’ve gone on a hunt together, so we made a date night out of it. The forecast wasn’t looking good, so I worked on getting some shots of the Milky Way. We were in a spot I’ve wanted to try and get aurora for awhile, and it turned out the Milky Way was in view as well. As our fire was dying, and we were gearing up to head home, we wandered along the beach to find a different view and as we did the light began to pop. We had a show for quite awhile and I was able to find a few spots to shoot from. Turned out to be a successful evening of aurora hunting and great to be out, literally running around at times, with my best friend.
