Camp Daniel bowler takes second place at Special Olympics
The Camp Daniel and the Special Olympics held the regional bowling competition at The Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley. The event was attended by Camp Daniel Program Director Ruth Hucek (left) and bowling participant Alex Olson of Crivitz (right).
Olson had the honor of carrying the American Flag during the opening ceremony.
Many teams competed, and Olson ended up taking second place for the individual bowlers.

On the final play of the first half on Friday, Lena-STAA’s C**t Miller delivered a perfect strike downfield to teammate Jake Farley, who did a fantastic job of catching up to the long ball and making the overhead grab to bring the Lena-STAA lead to 16-0. Josh Staloch video

The 2025 Lena-STAA Titans are sectional champions! The Lean-STAA 8-Man football team defeated Wabeno-Laona on Friday evening in Lena by a fina score of 38-14 to put itself one win away from a return trip to the State Championship.

Amberg Trunk or Treat draws crowd
The trunk or treat event in Amberg was successful again this year with around 310 children participating.
There were 23 cars handing out candy, 375 hot dogs given out and smores were made by Sheriff Randy Miller (pictured) and his wife. The Wausaukee Rescue Squad, Amberg Fire Department and Iron Banddogs also came out.
In addition to collecting candy, children took center stage on the trailer to be judged for the costume contest.
