Adopt Nebi!

Nebi is a 6 year old, 47 lb, Pit Bull mix who is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She needs to be the only dog in the home, but she does great with cats!

She walks beautifully on a leash and isn't reactive on walks. She is potty trained and kennel trained.

Nebi is currently under the care of my friends at Rescue Row and living in North Texas.

Adopt Dirk!

Dirk is a 3 year old, 33 lb, Pit Bull/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He was dumped along with 2 other dogs and we have no idea why.

This boy is absolutely precious! He LOVES to be with his people and is a well mannered boy.

He would do best with someone that works from home or is home most of the time. He does good with other dogs, and loves to play. He would do best in the home with another dog who also loves to play! He is kennel trained and potty trained. He is currenlty in a home with a 7 year old child and is good with him, but we do not know how he is with younger children.

Due to his breed makeup, no apartments please!

Adopt Luther!

Luther & his two bothers were found abandoned in an unincorporated area of Denton County. My friends at Rescue Row have taken them into their program and are in search of only the best forever homes!

Luther's foster mom describes him as the absolute sweetest, and it's easy to see why. He gets along wonderfully with all the dogs in the home and would thrive with a canine companion in his forever family. Luther has picked up kennel training quickly and doesn't make a peep when crated.

He's happiest when he's near his people, so the rescue is looking for a home where someone works from home or is around most of the time.

Luther is a 1 year old, 55 lb, German Shepherd/Husky/Bull Terrier mix who's ready to find his forever home. If you're interested in adopting this sweet boy, please apply at www.rescuerowinc.org.

If you have been here a while you know I can't resist sharing amazing transformations!

The photo on the left is this poor pup's intake photo from the City of Denton Animal Shelter. She arrived at the shelter in that condition on May 16th. Before she had a name she was only known by #58519541, the photo on the right is her now!

She now goes by the name Snickers, because she is as sweet as candy!

How is this even the same dog?

This transformation was made possible, because someone got her off the street, someone shared that sad photo on the left which made someone else tag someone who had a soft spot for dobermans, that person stepped up to foster and secured a great rescue to make sure this pup only gets the wonderful care and the very best home from that day forward.

Miss Snickers is getting really close to being ready for adoption, so she stopped by for some fresh adoption photos and can we just appreciate how STUNNING she is now. She is very treat motivated, she loves people, she loves her foster brother and is just a great girl.

When she is ready for adoption she will be available though Lone Star Doberman Rescue TX.

Leon was dumped along with his two beautiful brothers Lex and Luther in an unincorporated area of Denton County.

He weighs 52 lbs and he is a German Shepherd/Husky/Bull Terrier mix. He gets along wonderfully with all the dogs in his foster home and needs a canine companion in his forever family.

Adopt Kali II!

Kali brings equal amounts of energy, affection, and smarts to each and every day and she’s hoping for a family who will adore all her best qualities. Food puzzles and tough toys keep her mind busy, and plenty of outdoor play fuels her physical activity.

This one-year-old girl loves treats, plus they’re a great way to help her focus on her tasks. She’s leash trained but prefers running and playing in her own back yard – watch her zoom! She’s crate trained, but she’d rather be sitting close to her people.

Kali gladly accepts a variety of toys, and often plays with them by herself. She will always choose alone time with her family than have to share your attention and affection with other canine competition. She’s sassy and special and great with kids. She’s also hoping to find a forever home that wants to make her their own-and-only lady.

Kali is available for adoption from my friends at Dallas Pets Alive. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200.

Let's start Sunday with a feel good post!

It was a year and a day ago that I made a post about this sweet little Heeler family who was at the Little Elm Texas Animal Shelter.

They had been with the shelter for awhile and it was finally time for the them all to start searching for their forever families. Well to no ones surprise the puppies were quickly adopted.

The sweet little guy on the far right was adopted by the the amazing Todorov family! And lucky for me, they posted a pic of the little guy enjoying his new toys and big back yard.

As it sometimes goes, Momma Mandy waited several more weeks without a family of her own. When another post was made about her not finding her family yet...the Todorov family knew what they had to do. They went and adopted her too!

Yesterday my first post about Mandy and her puppies rolled into my timeline...it had been 1 year. I went searching for to see if I could see how they were doing and my oh my. Did these 2 hit the good family doggie lottery. There were pictures, so many pictures of the dogs and their family together. The family recently took a vacation and guess what the dogs got to go too!

For those of us who work in rescue, this is what we hope to see. I can tell you, when I saw how loved these pups are it made my entire year!

Thank you to the Todorov family for adopting & giving the pups such a great life!

Rescue Me is a 501c3 rescue organization dedicated to bringing cats and kittens in need into foster care, providing medical care, and adopting into compatible homes as forever pets.

Cats enter their program from a variety of situations, and as a full circle rescue, thry aim to spay and neuter every cat encountered in the locations they serve. To this end they mentor and facilitate TNR (trap, neuter and return).

Rescue Me relies entirely on a dedicated group of volunteers to manage each aspect of this process.
