In Florida and across the country, law enforcement continues to see dangerous drugs designed to look like everyday items such as candy, snacks, or even sidewalk chalk. Bright colors and familiar packaging make them especially concerning, as they can easily be mistaken by children.

📊 Florida Poison Control examined over 450 cases of accidental fentanyl exposure involving young children according to a report posted in June 2025.

Parents and guardians, please take the time to talk with your kids about not eating unfamiliar candy or treats if they aren’t from a trusted source. A simple conversation can make a big difference.
