As we bring in the New Year, we want to share some reminders and safety tips so that we can all have an enjoyable and safe holiday! 🎇

As a simple rule of thumb: anything that explodes or is projected into the air is illegal with the exception of professional fireworks shows.

Remember: being in possession of or using illegal fireworks is a Class 2 misdemeanor which could result in arrest and/or a fine of up to $500! 😬

✅If you have pets, please secure them indoors.
✅Fireworks are not toys and should only be handled by responsible and sober adults.
✅Keep water or a hose nearby in case of a fire emergency.
✅Celebrate the New Year responsibly!

Happy New Year! 🥳

In 1968, member D**k Griffin joined the Pineville Fire Department. 2 years later, his wife Mary joined him. D**k and Mary, along with the rest of their family served many years with the Pineville Fire Department. Their son Bill was the Fire Chief for 20 years.

Along with their years of Service to the Citizens, they have also served, and continue to serve our members.

Since 1970, the Griffin Family have opened up their home during our Annual Santa Ride. They have handed out Hot Chocolate and given us a much needed bathroom stop.

Mary Griffin, and the rest of the Griffins… thanks for 55 years. See you next year.
