John Siskin Photographer

I am a retired commercial photographer and writer and teacher. He has worked for General Motors and Disney Studios. His work has been part of many exhibits.

John Siskin is a commercial and fine art photographer who makes architectural, portrait and macro images. He has taught photography for more than twenty years. He is currently teaching studio lighting at BetterPhoto.com He also teaches for Indy Photo Coach and will be teacing at Ivy tech in Indianapolis soon. ed by Amherst Media. He did extensive work for AidsWalk and this work was used on banners and collateral material in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Atlanta. His photographs have been shown at the Brand Library, 2nd City Art Gallery, Harold’s Gallery, Farmani Gallery, and The Atelier. He has been a participant in the Valley Studio Tour several times.

We had a good lightning storm last night. I used my Nikon D-850 and my 35mm PC lens, from the early 1970s, for this shot. I take a lot of shots to get a few good ones. Thanks for your attention

I went out to Santa Cruz lake yesterday. I used the Hasselblad 1000F and the 60mm Distagon for this shot. Both made in the 1950s. I used Ilford Delta 400 processed in xtol. Bit of a hike to get to this place. Thanks for your attention

Made this image with my Hasselblad 1000F with a 60mm Zeiss Distagon. Just got the Distagon on Monday. 60mm lens is a moderate wide angle lens, similar to a 35mm lens on full frame 35mm format. Camera and lens are from the middle 1950s. I’ve now got a lot of extra parts and accessories for the 1000F, if anyone is interested. Ilford Delta 400 processed in xtol. Thanks for your attention
