This past week, Ilya Zlatkin met with some of the founders in our early stage incubator, reminding us that most have the same fundamental LEGAL questions: about agreements, entity type, and intellectual property. He makes a point that we're going to paraphrase (because as lawyers always remind, "consult with a lawyer," since we're probably not capturing precisely what was said) that great *startup* lawyers would make themselves available to answer any question you have. You don't need to hire a lawyer, necessarily, as you can and should find one that will advise you; making themselves available for hire IF/WHEN you actually need representation or the work they do ❤️

How you proceed formally is indeed mired in a series of questions best suited to a lawyer, given where you live, what you're doing, and how. As you move on to seeking investors, having someone exceptional, such as Ilya, on in your corner is a brilliant and easy decision to make.

Excited to share that our friends at CREAT-ED have been working with Karma Studios Thailand to host an International Songwriting Camp, February 25-28, 2025.

15 artists, songwriters and composers to write to live commercial song briefs with professional producers over 4 days at Karma Sound Studios, just outside of Pattaya City.

Each day you will start with a vocal and breathing warm up before being curated into your daily working group, where your team will have the option to work on one of several live commercial song briefs or choose to write together on any subject.
