Zach Orgel and Brent Carpenter have been playing thrash metal and post-punk together for over 25 years now. They’ve been staying busy with a new recording project called Baalbek. Baalbek incorporates the two’s love for all things heavy in the world of ROCK. Opening themselves up to longer arrangements than past projects, that has allowed for a few epic opuses.
It's Lithic Records' most heavy rock-oriented release with a distinct 70s vibe, sounding a bit like Sabbath meets Joy Division and Kinks at a party thrown by Spiders From Mars. Guest organ from our friend Ryan Burns adds a Deep Purpley touch to "Crop Circles." Engineered by fellow ex-BloodHag member Jeffrey McNulty at Killroom Studio and Mastered by the mighty Tad Doyle at Witch Ape Studio. Please listen LOUD!

I finished up the cover for the new Barnacle release yesterday. It's called Time Bum, and I wanted it to be kinda improvisational and rough, just like the recordings. Plus, there is a little political edge to a couple of the tunes. This will work.
