From classroom to creek! 🐟 Cal-Mum biology students spent the year raising brown trout from eggs to release, learning hands-on science, teamwork, and the value of local conservation along the way. With guidance from Mr. Hoy and brown trout eggs from the Bath Fish Hatchery they brought science to life right here in their own backyard.
Hoy says, “Waterways, fishing, and fish conservation are so important to this community. I can tell by how much the students talk about fishing and how much it’s part of their lives. It’s just part of the community here.”
