opening day of the playoffs at Stengel Field, falling to the Golden West College Rustlers before bouncing back with a 15–7 win over the Glendale College Vaqueros.

The Brahmas kept up against Golden West, holding a 3–3 tie until the Rustlers gained control with six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 9–3 lead. Pierce added a run in the later innings, but the deficit was much to overcome for the Brahmas.

In Game two, the Brahmas responded with a dominant performance, highlighted by a grand slam from outfielder Juan Tirado that set the tone early. Pierce maintained control throughout the game to come to a 15–7 victory over Glendale.

Pierce will face either Glendale or Golden West in its next playoff matchup following the Vaqueros’ game against the Rustlers.
