✨Wedding Tip Wednesday✨

Tip: Make sure your officiant knows to get out from behind *the* kiss photo! Most will automatically do this (like Ariel and Derek’s officiant, who timed his stepping aside perfectly 🤌), but it doesn't hurt to remind them and even practice it at the rehearsal. Hint: it helps if they step aside and *then* invite the couple to kiss.

My daughter dancing at my brother's wedding. I was a guest but of course I hid my camera near the dance floor and while the couple snuck off to get some photos, I couldn't help myself but to get out my flash and snap a few frames!

And yes, if you are wondering, of course I went way overboard. There's a gallery, ha ha. It's a photography faux pas to full on "uncle bob" this occasion, which is to shoot photos at another photographer's wedding, but I couldn't miss the moments!

I noticed the Smithsonian Castle is closing for some construction...for FIVE YEARS. It hasn't always been easy to catch the magnolias in their full glory, but wow they are great when you do. I hope the Enid Haupt garden continues to be available during the construction.
