Jake Ryan's pick of the day: Haircut One Hundred - Pelican West. I owned this record along with Culture Club's "Colour By Numbers" when I was 5. This album helped shape my musical ear for beautiful melodies. Nick Heyward's mid career solo albums are also great, but Pelican West like so many debuts have that running tracklist of hit after hit. Tracks that will get you- "Surprise Me Again", "Lemon Firebrigade", and "Milk Film"
