"This mix, like many, was built around a specific blend, or mashup, combo; that I felt would fit in a specific space in the puzzle-- beginning, middle, end.-- putting the puzzle together for each space is the most fun and challenging. so many tracks from friends. allusions to history, influences, the Wu-Tang, Outkast, some of my favorite pieces of hip hop. paying homage to pioneers like SVLO, Cyberoptics, with new s**t was so fun. Contrast of old and new. Attempted some challenging technical maneuvers. Reminder to do your homework; and practice! Follow your heart. These were some of my favorite tracks recently, made me feeel something. The Jane Goodall quote. I had something to say; acknowledging self, and external emotion."

It leans a little different from what I usually bring to the dance floor — more exploratory, emotional, and a bit hairbrained — but still rooted in movement, catharsis, chaos, and using sound to move through what words can’t."

B3XTAC33 (“bextasy”) is versatile multi-format DJ and producer that has been pushing the boundaries of underground dance culture since 2020. Based in Portland, Oregon, she has performed across the Northeast and Pacific Northwest, drawing inspiration from exploring regional scenes and underground music communities. She has cultivated a sound shaped by a deep appreciation for the underground, rhythmic experimentation, and the collective energy of the dance floor.

“I put together this mix for Sublimate as a journey through the darker edges of 160 BPM. Blending bass, phonk, jungle, and footwork, I wanted to build something immersive, heavy on atmosphere, tension, and percussive texture. Every transition pulls deeper into the mood, moving between shadowy rhythms and raw energy. Lock in.”

Welcoming Monotrope to the Sublimix Series with episode 183! This mix is full of dark, melodic, and emotive, bassy club bangers. Really excited for yall to dig into this one!

Monotrope is the creative identity of producer, Dj and multi-instrumentalist Alexander Riddle, whose work fuses the rhythmic urgency of UK Garage, House, and Breaks with the color and syncopation of his broad world music influences. Rooted in meticulous sound design and a lifelong love for global textures, Monotrope crafts immersive, cinematic dance music that thrives in the liminal spaces between genres.

His versatility and technical skill extend into his work as one half of the duo Belay with JOIA and Pink Opaque, projects known for their moody, textural, and emotive approach to electronic music.

As Monotrope, Riddle’s focus is singular: building sound worlds that feel alive, vivid, off-center, and hypnotic. His productions often juxtapose fluid harmonic movement with off-kilter percussion, weaving in elements from disparate cultures and traditions to create something that feels both global and personal.

"Really loved how this set came out and I'm sorry I've been sitting on it for a few months, but glad to get this one out there. Always love performing out in Bend! Massive love to Teddy and the gang for having me out and to all of the folks that came to help that one pop off! Out to the homies Sol Elicio and Sasha Bangs for joining me on the lineup that night as well!

Trained in classical piano since the age of 7, Underbelly has been producing electronic music for over a decade. His YouTube channel, You Suck at Producing, has now over 400,000 subscribers. Underbelly is also an Ableton Certified Trainer, and has worked closely with the company to produce tutorial videos and educational content. His original productions have garnered millions of plays on Spotify, and in 2026, he released his too deep EP on Quality Goods Records.

This mix combines a bunch of unreleased emo dubstep and sadboi riddim I'm working on with the music that inspired it! I'm lucky to call most of the artists on this mix my friends and can't believe I get to make make music and hang out with them (still working on becoming friends with Creed and Hilary Duff though). GR33NP13CE (Melissa Linch) is a Bend, Oregon native with a passion for bass music. She was musically inspired by childhood memories of calling into radio stations and attending concerts. GR33NP13CE started her brand in 2018, blending her love of the rave scene, bass music, performance art, and event production.

Her precision mixing style and eclectic genre selection quickly earned GR33NP13CE a residency at Bend’s iconic Astro Lounge, as well as bookings at venues like The Domino Room, The North Warehouse and The Den. She is known for curating dynamic dancefloor journeys that prioritize flow, energy, and emotional resonance.

Since her first performance playing bass at The Big Dirty in 2022, GR33NP13CE has shared the stage with A Hundred Drums, BOOGIE T, MERSIV, Secret Recipe, and Cøntra. Her ongoing support for the bass scene at local festivals like Applecross, Stilldream, Cascade Equinox, and Ohm on the Range highlights her dedication to the bass music culture and community.
