Michigan State University and the University of Michigan have partnered with Flint residents to begin an epidemiological cancer research project in Flint, funded by a $400,000 grant through the National Minority Quality Forum.

The study comes in response to ongoing concerns about elevated cancer rates in Flint, particularly following the city’s water crisis.
