The Beginning

WSRL 96.1 DB was created established in 2005 by Aidan Christion. Fresh out of high school at the age of 18, Aidan had a vision for the City of North Chicago, IL to create the first and only radio station that not only plays music, but delivers quality images and videos of events in North Chicago, IL and it’s surrounding areas.

Pulse Radio was a project that started using free resources and tools donated by other radio broadcasting networks. Eventually, Aidan would gain enough profit from his small radio station to build and grow it into a more professional brand. Pulse Radio has gained praise from the City of North Chicago for showcasing citywide events on Youtube, and various social media platforms for over 8+ years.

Since it’s start, Pulse Radio has collaborated with the likes of recording artists such as: Chante’ Moore, Ricky Dillard & New G, Leonardo Gonnelli, Hardwell, Chance the Rapper, Kanye West, & etc.

Aside from gaining worldwide acclaim, Pulse Radio has also worked with Lollapalooza, North Coast Music Festival, iHeartRadio, Chicago Gay Pride Parade, Foss Park District 187, Great Lakes Naval Base, WGN, and etc.
