Guess what guys, it’s official…
What we’ve been saying for a while now has officially been announced by Google - your social media business profiles aren’t just a nice to have, they absolutely impact your SEO and local visibility 🤯
Google lets you connect your social profiles right inside your Google Business Profile. That means your Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other active profiles help Google AND your future customer find your business.
So if you own a local service business go do this now!
1. Go to your Google Business Profile
2. Click Edit profile
3. Go to Contact
4. Add the social profiles you actually use
Then make sure your social posts are giving the right information so they will be picked up by Google and other search engines.
If your posts say:
“Another job well done”
that doesn’t do anything for you.
But if your post says:
“Iron gate repair in Argyle after the wind bent the frame”
or
“Successful mobile car detailing in Keller for a full work truck interior cleanout”
or
“Assisted stretch session in Southlake for a runner dealing with tight hips”
now Google and your future customer can see what you do, where you do it, and what problem you solve.
That’s the part most people miss.
Your social media as a local service business or franchise isn’t there for getting likes. It helps people in your hyperlocal area who have never heard about you - find you - and that information when done correctly shows right up in Google search results, including under AI snippets 😉
