I was with Warner Bros Records and we had Geffen Records who released the John Lennon album Double Fantasy- what a dream for me and all of us who had a chance to work with that album. 45 years ago we all got that late night call from our boss who let us know what had happened. The tears and sheer madness of it all was surreal and then the next hours I was being put on radio stations in my territory because it was easier to tell the audience what had happened to John Lennon then my music directors who each one took the news as devastating as it was. The Beatles changed my 9 year old self and when the movie Hard Days Night came out me and my buddies watched it from 10am - 8pm its still is one of my favorite movies. 💔
