Journal readers are everywhere!
From there to here, from here to there, Journal readers are everywhere. After a total of 16 hours in flight and two days crossing the Drake Passage, Rossford resident Debbie Mille stopped to take a picture with the Rossford Record Journal at Port Lockroy, Antarctica, during her cruise around the peninsula of the “White Continent” in November. It was early spring there, with temperatures in the 20s and lots of still frozen ice. The gentoo penguins were just starting to arrive in the area.
Port Lockroy has been home to whalers, explorers and scientists. It is the most visited tourist site in Antarctica.
The Rossford Record Journal staff invites readers and advertisers to submit photos of themselves or others reading the paper wherever they may travel. Try to include a familiar or interesting background, such as Big Ben. Photos may be submitted by email to [email protected] or by mail to the Rossford Record Journal, P.O. Box 267, Perrysburg, Ohio 43552. Please note the name of the person(s) in the photo and their hometown/business as well as any other details you may want to include about the trip.
