This is why the Republicans keep getting their butts kicked in District 11, located in Northern Virginia. Read the paragraph at the bottom of the image (I got this today). What it *should* say is, "in accord with the principles of the United States Constitution". Furthermore, if the particular Republican who wins this primary is not a good choice, the language locks you into supporting that bad candidate anyway instead of what you believe is the best candidate.

When I asked someone with some authority there about this language, she got downright nasty with me...in front of other people, who happen to be Republicans, who agreed with my position. It's supposed to be "country over party", not "party over country", and by "country", I'm referring specifically to the Constitution of the United States.

This is the sort of thing that the Democrat Party does. The Republicans claim to run based on good principles? They might in certain jurisdictions, but apparently not in this one, not at this time, and that's really sad. They really need to improve in this regard, and I hope that someday they will.

Folks, this is straight out of Jim Crow. I am well and truly amazed that another racial minority--Rob Bonta--could actually do this.

We continue our discussion of Red Flag laws and why, despite the sweet-sounding language of the gun-banners who promote them, they're actually a horrible attack on liberty. I will give you a breakdown of two of them, specifically those of Virginia and California. Every Liberal, every last one of us, should be opposing these monstrosities wherever we see them.

This is an attack on the presumption of innocence until guilt is proved. That's bad against anyone--ANYONE. And guess who that disproportionally affects? Yeah--people of color, especially Black people! So, why are so many White Progressives supporting such an attack against us? Why are so many Black politicians supporting such a monstrous attack against us?

They are wrong, and wherever they are, they've got to get stamped out. Enough of us have been falsely accused of things, and it's got to stop.

Yesterday, January 16, 2023, the VCDL Page - Virginia Citizens Defense League, Inc. showed up again on Lobby Day in Richmond, VA, as we do every year when the anti-2A forces running the State Capital (e. g. Gov Ralph "Blackface" Northam) don't block us from doing so. As we do every year, we peacefully lobby our legislators to respect the civil rights represented by the Second Amendment, as well as those under the First Amendment.

As I write this, I still have no idea how a 6-year-old child could take a gun to school and shoot a teacher with it like what happened last week, on Friday. I'm in shock, like I think just about everyone else is. How the heck could this happen? We also know that it did happen, and we need to address that. The teacher's name is Ally Zwerner, and she is still in the hospital in serious, but stable, condition. Our most fervent wishes for her speedy and complete recovery.

Also, we need to discuss Red Flag laws. That's been getting a whole lot of press over the last few years, and I'm sure there will be calls for yet more of them after this horrible event. We do need to keep the mentally unstable from causing harm to others. However, there are already existing tools for that which need to actually be used. These new "Red Flag" laws are not the solution. Sadly, the anti-2A forces want to push easier confiscation against those who have not committed a crime, and that's as un-American as shooting a teacher is.

This episode is a particularly deadly serious episode...and the reasons should be obvious.

Hunting season is upon us! Two extremely popular cartridges get discussed this time, namely the .308 Win and the .30-06. Both are fine choices. Also, we discuss the ongoing Mosin-Nagant refurbishment (well, actually "total rebuild") project and how that's coming.

The Mosin rifle especially represents freedom to me, not only because of the Finnish resistance to Stalin's WWII aggression, but also because of the situation now with Vladimir Putin's horrible aggression in Ukraine. Folks, being armed and thus able to resist tyranny is how we stay free. Just ask anyone who has armed bodyguards. :-)

Internet censorship got me, too. It seems that some providers don't like it when a fellow Liberal, such as myself, actually promotes the 2A as I do. We're going to talk about that!

It took me a while, but know that I have taken steps to mitigate that possibility in a significant way, going forward. And if the haters of liberty find another way...I'll figure out how to get around that, too. No matter how long it takes me...I will find a way. That's my job.

My fellow Liberals, it's as Capt. Picard said in the ST:TNG episode, "The Drumhead":

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

That is wisdom...and a warning. The Founding Fathers would be proud of those words.
