It is okay to say no booze and drugs, but only you know when that time is.

If you know of any veterans or first responders who are struggling with drugs and alcohol and are looking for a support group. This could help them, by meeting others who are currently fighting the fight daily.

Feel free to bring your support system, sponsor, husband, wife, uncle, aunt, son, daughter, etc.

"Thank you for today. Not sure if you knew. Today was the first time or close to it, I was that honest about what I attempted just about a yr ago..the release i got today of being open about it and finally understanding it's OK to have really bad days and for any one to judge for that can pound sand. So.thank you again for the opportunity it was a good time and was great to sit down with you again "

1 year ago today, I came up with this crazy idea of starting The Veteran Project. I approached Jay Soares of Mission Media & Marketing with this idea. An he was sold.
We have had over 20 Guests come on and share their stories and we could not be more blessed. Jay has helped me put my vision to social media, with great quality work. Jay thank you, and let's keep this sucker going.

Nick joined the Marine Corps in 2009. In 2010 his unit 2/9 relieved 3/6 in Marjah Afghanistan. On Nov 21 2010 Nicks life changed. He was manning the post with his brother Medal of Honor Recipient Kyle Carpenter when a gr***de was thrown up onto the post , severly wounding Nick and Kyle. From 2010 to today Nick has shown Marine Corps core Values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment through his Journey with the help of his little big brother Andrew
