The Trump administration says it has revoked more than 100,000 visas in less than a year, including about 8,000 student visas tied to people who had encounters with law enforcement — more than a 150% increase since 2024.

🗣️ Immigration attorney Lorena Rivas says she’s seeing visas revoked with little explanation, sometimes over minor or dismissed charges. “They’re still innocent until proven guilty,” she said, questioning how those encounters are being used.

🏛️ The White House defends the policy, saying visas are a privilege, not a right, and that the focus is public safety and national security — but attorneys warn the approach could make the U.S. seem unwelcoming to students and skilled workers worldwide.

🏁 THE CHILI BOWL IS BACK IN TULSA 🏁

One of the biggest weeks in dirt track racing has returned to the Chili Bowl Nationals at the SageNet Center, putting Tulsa in the national motorsports spotlight once again. 🏎️

Here’s why it matters:
• Record-breaking year: A historic 404 entries — the most in the event’s 40-year history
• Big economic impact: More than $30 million from the Chili Bowl alone, topping $50 million when combined with the Tulsa Shootout
• More than racing: A free, public trade show runs alongside the action
• Worldwide attention: Fans and drivers from across the globe have their eyes on Tulsa this week

“When they walk through the door, no matter what has happened to them, they’ll have an atmosphere of calm.”

That’s the goal of Tulsa’s new Family Safety Center, opening Feb. 9 near 31st and Sheridan. The facility is four times larger than its current downtown location and was shaped by years of survivor input.

Oklahoma consistently ranks among the worst states for domestic violence, a reality leaders say makes this expanded center essential.

The $25 million project brings law enforcement, advocates, medical care and courts under one roof—focused on safety, healing and hope.

Downtown Sapulpa is ready to turn the page as Dewey Avenue reopens Friday afternoon after months of construction.

City leaders say the project:

• replaced more than 100-year-old storm drains and water lines
• giving Main Street a fresh new look

They say it's just in time for major events like the Christmas Chute and the upcoming Route 66 Centennial.

The city will mark the reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
