Hello Outdoor Explorers! You may remember a story we produced in January, about sailing through the Northwest Passage. We interviewed our friend Dario Schwoerer, about his earth-saving mission, sailing around the world with his family to educate on climate change. Well, Dario and family have hit some hard times in Iceland. A terrible storm struck, while they in port, and critically damaged their home/ship. They could use our help. If you have the means to donate to their cause, that would be great, but just sharing their mission and news of their adventures will help.

Also, be sure to watch the video to see how Dario, Sabine, Salina, Andri, Noe, Alegra, Mia, Vital and Mirjam were helped to safety during the storm.
Thanks for listening, reading and for your continued support of public media & friends.

For 17 years, the Schwoerer Family together with volunteers from 58 nations has led the “TOPtoTOP Global Climate Expedition” conducting field-based research for universities, scientists, and research organizations, visiting the world’s remote regions and sharing examples of innovative solutions to p...
