November Housing Report.
🏡 Home listings increase while buyer activity cools for second month 🏡
“Sellers remained more active than buyers in November, a trend that’s enabled some inventory growth this year. The single-family segment is behind the rise in new listings, as townhomes, condos, and new construction all declined year-over-year. Single-family sales fell overall, but condo sales surged nearly 16.0%—perhaps reflecting better affordability in that segment.
With mortgage rates near one-year lows, broader economic pressures are likely behind softening demand. At 2.7 months of supply statewide, the market is the most balanced it’s been in about five years, but it remains technically a sellers’ market.
A recent Realtor.com study named the Twin Cities as one of the top 10 housing hot spots for 2026, citing a better balance between local incomes and home prices. If the economy can remain resilient and inflation cools, better affordability will bring some discouraged buyers off the bench and onto the dance floor.”
