There is speculation that Chevy will introduce a replacement for the Chevy Camaro next weekend at the Roval. My predictions are as follows: O'Reilly Auto Parts Series - Corvette. Cup Series - Malibu. Given the presence of the Supra and Mustang, it would be logical to include the Corvette in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series. The Malibu would be a viable competitor to the Camry.

Former NASCAR Owner Bill Davis has died at the age of 74. Davis won the 2002 Daytona 500 with Ward Burton. Davis also gave Hall of Fame driver Jeff Gordon his big break. Ward Burton was the only driver to win for Bill Davis racing 🏁. After 2007 Bill Davis sold his team Triad Racing Technology. Triad Racing Technology would later become TRD engines for Toyota. Davis has also had Dave Blaney, Scott Wimmer, Jeremy Mayfield, Johnny Benson, Scott Speed, Butch Litgzinter, Sterling Marlin and Bobby Labonte. The No 22 won seven times with Bill Davis all with Ward Burton. In 2008 Johnny Benson won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship with Bill Davis Racing. One of the most idiotic moments in NASCAR history was done by his former driver Sterling Marlin, during a Red Flag after a wreck and contact with Jeff Gordon. Marlin got out of his car 🚗 and fixed the right side fender. Under NASCAR rules you are not allowed to do any work to your car. The biggest bone headed move in NASCAR history. After he was sent to the rear. Ward Burton inherited the lead, Elliott Sadler and Geoff Bodine behind him. Burton would go on to win the 44th Daytona 500.

I honestly could see scenario where other teams join the lawsuit. From what I'm reading the teams get paid hardly nothing. Jim France and his crew get payed everything. If other teams join it might force NASCAR to finally sell. But in all seriousness part of this Jim France. An old grandpa stuck in his ways. NASCAR needs to have younger leaders in. Give Ben Kennedy the job as Chairman of NASCAR. Ben Kennedy is a former race car driver and I'm sure that would go a long way in drivers trusting him. Kennedy has shown that he's willing to take a gamble for new markets.

Frankie Muniz will not compete in this weekends NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Darlington. Muniz fell and fractured his wrist at home. No word on a replacement driver
