I’ve enjoyed the process so far, and I can’t wait for the season. I’m really excited.”

We were glad to have Main Street Manager Cinderella Bennett visit from the City of McDonough yesterday. We were able to share information about our Main Street Program and the important roles our City Council, special events coordinator, Main Street director, Downtown Development Authority, Historic Preservation Commission, and Planning Department play.

We also had the chance to learn about McDonough's Main Street Program and the work that Ms. Bennett and her team invest to add vibrancy to their downtown.

To the surprise of very few, the Madison City Council rejected a zoning map amendment that would have paved the way for a Planned Industrial Development (PID) on 178 acres of property near the intersection of Monticello Highway and Lions Club Road, which is currently zoned I-2.
