This month, we're proud to highlight our partnership with Water for Ishmael, an organization dedicated to welcoming and empowering internationals in the Toledo community. Through language education, job training, and support services, Water for Ishmael helps individuals build the skills and confidence needed to create successful futures. Many arrive in Toledo after leaving behind family, careers, and communities, ready to begin a new chapter.

Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming three women from Afghanistan into our workforce through this partnership. As they work on our Lott work floor, we're honored to play a small role in their journey toward independence and opportunity.

As Water for Ishmael Founder and Director Janelle Metzger shares, "Water for Ishmael loves our partnership with Lott because of their deep passion and commitment to removing employment barriers for anyone in our community." We believe our community is strongest when everyone has the opportunity to contribute.

🎒 Class might be out, but learning never stops! 🎒

Our students are officially on their 2-week summer break, but the American School for Women teachers are still hard at work. This week, they’re trading the front of the classroom for the desks—sharpening their skills and diving deep into new training under the guidance of our amazing ASW Director, Hannah Buehler!
