The first SGV1400s have landed! As simple in concept as a lobster boat (and easier to repair) the pickups go 50 miles per hour, fast enough for highways in Malawi, and charge for pennies on the dollar thanks for Malawi’s hydroelectric dams. Money spent on electric mobility in the Malawian environment goes further and delivers stronger carbon footprint impact than anywhere in the world. More developments coming soon! Link in bio to read more about SVG in our April issue!

A perfect reminder of how food and family are forever intertwined. Read our full review here:

“Mr. President,” Margaret Chase Smith begins in her 1950 “Declaration of Conscience,” “I would like to speak briefly and simply about a serious national condition…that could result in national su***de and the end of everything Americans hold dear. It is a condition that comes from lack of effective leadership either in the legislative branch or the executive branch of our government.”

Read more on this American hero from Maine in our September 1995 issue, and swing on over to Bangor Daily News where Sen. Angus King discusses Smith and the importance of due process in the face of fascism and totalitarianism.
