Today, we honor our inspiration Chelsey Campbell.

20 years ago today, Chelsey was officially diagnosed with Undifferentiated Sarcoma. Her battle was fierce, her faith unshakable, and her smile never faded. Though we lost her 14 months later, her light continues to guide everything we do.

Snowdrop Foundation was born from Chelsey’s story a 16th birthday gift that became a legacy of hope, scholarships, and research for children fighting cancer.

Her spirit lives on in every mile run, every scholarship awarded, and every act of kindness shared.

Every once in a while, fate smiles upon us and provides memorable moments to cherish for life. That happened for me last night as I was on the stadium mic as PA announcer, and I got to proclaim the Springfield Cardinals the Texas League North Division 1st Half Champions!

35 That number has been on my mind all morning.

Chelsey would be 35 years old today. It’s wild to think about, because in my heart, she’s forever that fierce, witty, unstoppable teenager who turned my world upside down in the best way possible.

She was 15 when cancer showed up uninvited. And still, she laughed more than most adults I know. She was tougher than I’ll ever be. And she made me believe that one person really can change the world.

Happy birthday, Chelsey. You are missed beyond words.

Big Board Meeting today! Snowdrop Foundation Scholarship Selection Day!

The Snowdrop Foundation Board of Directors is gathering for our 19th Annual Scholarship Selection Day, and we are honored to review a record number of applications from childhood cancer survivors and patients—representing communities across the country.

To each applicant: thank you for sharing your journey, your hopes, and your dreams with us. Your strength and resilience are nothing short of extraordinary, and your stories continue to fuel our mission.

We understand that behind every application is a path marked by challenges overcome and victories earned. Please know that our team is reviewing each submission with the utmost care, respect, and consideration.

Selected applicants will be notified mid June, and once the date is set for our Scholarship Luncheon in Houston, TX, we’ll be sure to share that news as well.

This day is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Thanks to our incredible donors, sponsors, and volunteers, we can continue breaking down financial barriers and opening doors to higher education for these remarkable young survivors.
