Rosario Sotelo is a multidisciplinary artist based in San Francisco, CA. A graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, her work explores time, space, and memory through experimental film, installation, and performance. Rosario’s time-based films capture intimate moments in personal spaces, while her installations, often collaborative, offer immersive experiences that honor ancestry and personal history. A returning artist to SOMArts’ Día de los Mu***os exhibition, she recently performed at SFMOMA in Postcommodity’s Cosmovisión, using field recordings to examine the power of place and memory.
