We met up with Sergio Pinon, the owner of Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar the other day.

Opened little over a year ago Redbird has quickly become a Tucson favorite, with a new location opening up hopefully in September in the former Flora’s Market Run location next to the new Sonoran House Coffee shop.

Redbird’s food is inventive while still being familiar and comforting. The loaded wings covered in blue cheese, sauteed celery and carrots and ranch drizzle are unreal and addictive. The smothered waffle fries are a meal in itself. The quesabirria were some of the best I’ve ever had.

So many fun things going on this weekend in Tucson! Legendary singer Pedro Fernandez will be at the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, iconic indie pop band of Montreal plays 191 Toole, Reid Park Zoo, Desert Museum, and Tohono Chul stay open late, and much more!

Diana and John Osborne have created a stunning addition to the Summerhaven / Mt. Lemmon experience with the Mt. Lemmon Lodge

With live music, games, drinks, and amazing food by Tucson favorite Beyond Bread , the large patio is a much-needed hangout spot welcoming visitors, locals, and guests of the lodge.

The rooms are outfitted with the highest quality linens, beds, and furnishings. Diana’s attention to detail is exceptionally impressive!

Award-winning landscape architect Elizabeth Przygoda, owner of Boxhill & Co. , a design firm and outdoor furniture store, was responsible for the incredible renovation of this home’s outdoor spaces. The owner’s desire for conservation and sustainability was a perfect fit for Przygoda’s firm.

Shops we love!

Midtown Mercantile Merchants is a 25,000-square-foot eclectic antiques, collectibles, furniture, and furnishings store at 3330 E. Speedway Blvd, between Country Club and Alvernon.

Located in the former Bookman’s store in the Rancho Center, next to Whole Foods, Zia, and the soon-to-open Dash Mart, Midtown Mercantile encompasses over 100 individual booths operated by Tucson locals. It is a great way to spend an afternoon browsing weird, wacky, beautiful, collectible one-of-a-kind finds!
