Surprise!!! We’re giving away FREE Halloween costumes to kids 12 and under this Tuesday from 5-7pm (while supplies last). We know that many families in our community are struggling right now and I want to make sure the kids are still able to enjoy Halloween. Please have your child with you to pick their costume.

We are still taking donations of new costumes up until the event so please reach out if you would like to make a donation.

With the government shutdown still lingering, many of our neighbors in Flint and Genesee County are facing uncertainty about their SNAP benefits — and that means more families are turning to Crossover Outreach and other local pantries for help putting food on the table.

This week alone, we served nearly 400 people with food. We know that number will only grow if the shutdown continues.

If you’re out shopping this weekend and it’s on your heart to pick up a little extra, we would happily and gratefully accept your donations of:
🥫 Canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc.)
🥕 Canned veggies
🍎 Canned fruit
🥜 Peanut butter
🍲 Canned meals (like ravioli, stew, chili, or soup)

Every item you give helps fill a pantry shelf and feeds a neighbor in need — with dignity, love, and hope.

Don’t have time to shop?
We can shop for you! A monetary donation of any amount helps us purchase exactly what’s needed to keep our shelves stocked.

Together, we can make sure no one in our community goes hungry. Because here in Flint — we take care of each other.

We were disheartened to learn that those on Food Assistance may not be able to access their benefits, and we never want anyone to go hungry.
Next Tuesday, starting at 3PM, Woodchips BBQ (supported by Lightning Rounds and Kookys N Cream) will be providing approx. 200 free Carry Out chicken dinners to anyone in need of a hot meal. No questions asked.

Additionally, we would like to highlight and support some amazing local charities that offer to support to those hitting a rough patch. So we will be collecting donations and we will MATCH $ for $ up to $1000 for Stone Soup Food Bank, Good Samaritans, and The Refuge

While it's been a tough stretch for a lot of people and businesses, together, as a community, we can always look out for and take care of each other.

If Food Assistance continues to remain in Jeopardy, we will look to make this a weekly event until they are restored.
