It might not be fast enough for you ,nor make sense to you, it makes much sense to me. You might not see any difference because you have created your own pace and target for me, forgetting that the journey is not yours and the story is not yours to tell.

I own my journey, i run it at my pace and i choose slow and consistent, working at my own pace as my health conditions and resources available to me permits and can take.

If it's not ok for you, please start your own journey, run and fly and finish fast that way you want it. Share your success with me, i will be happy for you. But stop projecting that on me, i am not you and you are not me.

Everybody with their journey separate and personal. Understand that and have peace.

My fat is hereditary, i was born fat by two fat parents. I'm not using this as an excuse or as reason why i got to this stage. I never had any control over my weight when i was born and till i got married. Thank God i married a very slim man who only have eyes for fat ladies 😂.

On a more serious note, when people ask " how did you leave yourself to get this big" it sounds somehow to me, because it makes me start checking " was there anytime in my life that i was once slim"? I never had a slim moment all my life. I use to be a big baby, fat toddler that it took me almost two years to walk because of my weight.

From nursery to primary school, high School and my university days, I'm always the biggest and atimes tallest too in all my classes.

I'm writing this online on the Internet many people here knows me from one time of my life to the other, anyone that have ever seen me once slim can please call me out.

Amaka is my name, A Nigerian living in Nigeria where many of us believe that if you are fat, God created you to be a fat person, we all can not be slim. My parents were semi literate and knows no better about how to control fat even when it's hereditary. This topic is not taught in schools either, neither was there any awareness of it as at 1990ies when i was in my teen years.

I was already weighing 120kg when i was in my SSS3. And still, never heard of anything like " weight loss or weight loss journey". That's not a thing in Nigeria where i reside. Only few that have traveled to the western countries and some others knows. Losing weight and how to lose weight has little awareness then.

I got to know about anything that sounds like weight loss journey here on Facebook. I know you all know how old Facebook is and I'm not among the early users. Still, one can't find any organized structure for weight loss. Nothing like a weight loss centre.

But today there is lots of weight loss awareness and lots of gym around.

So, how did i wait till now according to many of you, please can you now help me to answer that question because honestly i don't have any answer to it in a simple sentence.

To know what i weigh at different times. I don't want to do that on this my big page to avoid some certain sanctions, it's better my smaller page takes the risk because there are lots of rules guiding posting certain things and punishment for them which am not at liberty to talk freely about.

It was easier when i achieved this feat by myself over 10yrs ago. But now it's tougher, all because I'm getting older and the journey slower.
Reason am putting up this as a motivation to keep going. If i don't give up, no matter how long it takes i will get there and surpass my first achievement.
Let's not give up, let's keep pushing.
