Miramax Wins Lawsuit Over ‘Pulp Fiction’ Movie Poster

Firooz Zahedi will always have a place in Hollywood history thanks to how he shot the iconic 'Pulp Fiction' movie poster, but a judge has ruled that if the photographer claims ownership, he should have filed a lawsuit much sooner

A judge rules that the photographer behind the iconic 1994 image of Uma Thurman waited too long to sue — and that an Instagram post proved it.

Steven Spielberg just chilling in the mouth of the shark Jaws (circa 1975).

Jaws were the most popular movie in the summer of 1975, which was also the first film ever to manage to earn $100 million at the box office, and was even as the first summer blockbuster. And even though the director Steven Spielberg might seem relaxed in this photograph but don’t be fooled.

The production team had their hands full and ran into various issues and difficulties, most of which had something to do with the animated shark. To put it in some perspective, the shoot was supposed to last for only 55 days, but in reality, it lasted for 159 days.

Apple TV+’s ‘The Problem With Jon Stewart’: TV Review

Now, before you dust off your pitchforks, let me clarify. The Daily Show, in its incarnation under Stewart’s watch, was one of the best and most influential TV shows ever made. And part of having such influence is that it lives on after you’re off the air. Even if Stewart left TV in 2015, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver and Samantha Bee carry on with a Stewart-inspired voice on a nightly or weekly basis, while Larry Wilmore, Hasan Minhaj, Michelle Wolf and Wyatt Cenac have done the same for briefer periods. And that’s saying nothing of the exceptional and initially underrated work that Trevor Noah has done as Stewart’s direct successor on The Daily Show.

In his first regular television gig since 'The Daily Show,' Jon Stewart blends topical comedy and panel discussions.

Oscars Best Picture Winners: Here's the movies that took home the Academy Award for Best Picture - CBS News

The 93rd Academy Awards were delayed and pushed back to April 25, 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic, but nothing could stop this Oscar debate: What's the best picture of all time — and what's the worst?

From "Wings" to "Nomadland," 93 films to date have earned the Academy Award for best picture. But within that elite group, there are great movies and — yes — not-so-great ones. In fact, if you listen to the critics, some best picture Oscar winners are downright terrible.

Here's a look at every best picture winner, ranked from worst to best. We compiled our rundown using data from the movie-review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes. Where there were ties, we sorted films by their Rotten Tomatoes user score.

Our Story

Our name, 69th Street Productions, is a nod to our roots which we continue to build from for the future. Bordering West Philadelphia, and just fifteen minutes from Center City Philadelphia, Upper Darby Township, with a population of over 80,000, is home to a large immigrant community that continues to change. More than eighty different languages are spoken around this gateway community to the suburbs, making it one of most diverse in the state of Pennsylvania. At the historic heart of Upper Darby is the business district that runs along 69th Street. Located there is the SEPTA 69th Street Terminal where tens of thousands of commuters travel daily through the terminal to go into Philadelphia or out to the suburbs. Also located there is the historic Tower Theater, built in 1927, which once featured vaudeville acts, and now plays host as a concert venue, featuing national and international performers. It was named one of the ten best live music venues in America by Rolling Stone Magazine, and once featured a spire atop the theatre that was a geographic landmark and symbol of the community. Performers such Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Phil Collins, Jethro Tull, Bob Dylan, and many more have graced the stage at the Tower. Surrounded by a working class neighborhood many of our team members grew up and lived in this neighborhood. This intersection of cultures and landmark features are cornerstones of our identity. Our success stories and love of our community are what propelled us to launch 69th Street Productions.
