Broken Rod repair. This rod broke in the top 3rd just above a line guide. I cut the blank on both ends removing any broken blank material and matched them up. Arbored and fitted carbon insert piece. Fitted a stainless steel sleeve. Mixed an epoxy. Glued and fitted the pieces together. Sliding the sleeve over the fitting. Allowed to dry. Once dry fitted a new line guide. Wrapped the repair and the new line guide in carbon fiber. Finished the repair with Gen5 rod finish epoxy. It will be fishable tomorrow.
