Turns out one of the best little escapes from NYC is only a train ride away. 🤎

We took Metro-North from Grand Central to Cold Spring, a little over an hour away, and spent the day walking through town and exploring the trails and old ruins nearby. No car needed, which makes it such an easy day trip from the city.

Cold Spring is incredibly charming too, with shops, restaurants and plenty to wander around before or after a hike.

And apparently, 3 pounds is plenty big enough for an adventure.

Save this one for a dog-friendly day trip from NYC.
