🛣️ Philly in a day, no hotel required!

We packed an entire day of fun into 10 hours flat, and honestly it might’ve been better than an overnight trip. No packing, no hotel bill, just good food and good energy the whole way through 👇

Monday almost won. Then Rita’s Italian Ice stepped in and saved the day 🍧

Family pit stops like this are the real weekday reset for us. Drag the teens out for five minutes, everyone’s in a better mood. Cheap therapy honestly.

Looking for a couples getaway near DC that doesn’t require burning PTO or spending hours traveling? I found one that’s worth adding to your list. ❤️

A few things you’ll want to know before you book:

✔️ Every guest room is a suite, with multiple floor plans to choose from. Ours had a full kitchen, dining area, living room, separate bedroom, balcony, and plenty of space to actually unwind.

✔️ Breakfast at The Aviary is included with your overnight stay, and it’s a full buffet that makes getting out of bed a little easier.

✔️ Parking is just $25/day with in-and-out privileges, which is a great value compared to many hotels closer to DC that charge around $60 for overnight parking.

✔️ Love to shop? Tysons Corner Center is just minutes away, making this an easy weekend for great food and a little retail therapy.

✔️ You could easily spend your entire stay without leaving the property. Between The Wren, The Aviary, the hidden speakeasy, Perch Putt, rooftop green space, lawn games, and food trucks, there’s plenty to do.

✔️ Guests can also borrow complimentary bikes to explore the Capital One Center area at your own pace.

I’d recommend this for an anniversary, birthday weekend, date night, or anytime you and your favorite person need a change of scenery.

Free-roam virtual reality, team-based games, and an experience your guests will actually be talking about after. Squid Game in Baltimore? Yup, you can play in an immersive VR version at Sandbox VR in Harbor East. It really feels like you are IN the game. This is a super fun experience for friends or family

Sandbox VR is now on Baltimore! The fam and I have had a lot of VR experiences and this is the most immersive yet. You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t actually a player in Squid Game. We also played a zombie game and it was like we stepped into a horror movie 👀.

If you need an activity that will entertain the teens AND the parents this is one for sure.
