Reflecting on the incredible experience I had at the beginning of May serving as the Featured Photography exhibit at the Black Girls In Media’s Lights, Camera, Influence Summit in Dallas, Texas.
I want to give a huge thank you to Founder, Tasha Mackk | Biz & Lifestyle Creator for trusting me to execute this project and for putting on a BOMB event. You DID that!
I want to give SPECIAL special shout out to my beautiful sister, for being a solid help with everything day of and being a phenomenal host for the weekend. To my husband who literally makes a way out of no way, there were some huge hiccups preparing for this event but his troubleshooting skills are UNMATCHED. I appreciate you more than I can express .
Black women are my MUSE. My Blueprint, my inspiration! Being able to highlight the essence of soo many beautiful Black women from all over the country was an overwhelmingly emotional experience for me. Sometimes, I can’t believe God allows me to live the life I do. I feel SO blessed to be able to do this work. It is no secret that I have a full-time job as a social and digital strategist at a top public university so everything is truly in a delicate balance for me. All in all, God is amazing and I am grateful for color-filled life experiences. God bless these women. God bless my family and my business. God bless BGIM!!
