Our Editor-in-Chief flew solo at the 2026 MIPA Summer Workshop this year. Nevertheless, her week was filled with fun, friends, and some awesome newspaper print designs. Thanks to MIPA, the Arrow staff will be going into the 2026-27 year fearless!

The final Senior Spotlight! 💛✨

Kara Boice has been on the Arrow staff for two years and is known for her persistent kindness and InDesign expertise! In her time as Editor-in-Chief, Boice has been inducted into Quill & Scroll, won seven MIPA awards, and published 24 articles across print editions and the Arrow’s website. After high school, she plans to attend Western Michigan University to major in Elementary Education and become a teacher.

After a year’s worth of hard work, the Arrow has improved tremendously! MIPA’s Spartan Critique awarded Gold to our website (uhsarrow.org), and gave the highest honor of Spartan to our print editions! Thank you to everyone who chipped in and helped grow our publication to what it is today. 💚💚💚
