This past weekend, Ann and her husband were visiting his parents in their new house. The house is really nice, but his parents are “big people” and are always hot, so the thermostat is set to like 60 in the house. During the day it wasn’t too bad, but at night it was freezing and Ann couldn’t get warm.

Ann asked her husband to turn up the thermostat, but he never did so one night she got up and put it up to 68 degrees. She slept much better after it finally kicked in.

The next day his dad realized it was up to 68 and was pi**ed. He put it back down and told Ann if she’s ever cold in house again to wear a warmer sweater or sweatshirt. Ann apologized, but to be honest she doesn’t really care. She was freezing. Ann’s husband is ticked at her and told Ann he would never have done that at her parents’ house, that it was incredibly rude and she embarrassed him. So was Ann wrong for touching his parents’ thermostat?

Michelle’s dog is super friendly with everyone except her boyfriend. Every time he comes over, she growls, hides, or stares him down like a furry little bodyguard. At first Michelle laughed it off, but now it’s got her thinking. Michelle’s boyfriend says it’s just a phase, but part of her wonders if her dog’s picking up on something she’s not seeing in him? What do you think?

When Eileen and her husband got married they both agreed that they wanted four kids. But after two very difficult pregnancies and three miscarriages, Eileen has realized she just can’t go through it again, physically or emotionally. They have two beautiful, healthy children (a boy and a girl) and Eileen feels incredibly lucky. But her husband keeps bringing up their “agreement” and wanting a big family and making her feel guilty for not wanting to try for more. He completely brushes off her health concerns like they’re no big deal and it’s exhausting to keep explaining herself to someone who should want her to be healthy and happy. Eileen is at the point where she wants to bring in someone he trusts to tell him how inconsiderate and hurtful he’s being, because he’s just not hearing it from her. How can she get through to him that this isn’t about breaking a promise, it’s about protecting her well-being?
