Besides filmmaking, one thing I love doing is making things with wood. ⁠

I love how if you can think of something you can turn to wood and shape it into the thing you need, like a shelf, coat rack, planter, greenhouse, etc.⁠
⁠
It started from watching my grandfather (who built the log cabin we lived in!) make things like kids toys and random things. ⁠
⁠
We had a full wood shop in the basement growing up. I still cherish the few things I have that we made together. ⁠
⁠
As an adult I’ve pieced together my own basement workshop and I am reminded of him every time I make something with my hands.
