It's going to be another full 3-hour theme in The Recovery Room this Sunday morning. We'll look back on those Dynamite Debut Albums. Some bands came on strong with their first album. A big Hello from my friend Frank Furno, 'The Chairman', who used to help me with my Recovery Room Radio Show for many years. Frank is doing well and is actually hosting his own show these days called 'Blues & Beyond'. You can catch him on Friday nights from 7-8PM on Hamilton College Radio WHCL 88.7FM. Sunday morning 9a til noon in The Recovery Room, we'll continue with The DRIVE's Weekend feature of the Woodstock Anniversary. I'll dig into some of the trivia including which bands were invited but said no thanks, we'll have a look at the contracts of the acts- who got paid well and who got the shaft. Plus I'll mix in classic rock from the 60's and 70's to go along with some Woodstock alumni bands. (listen on 92.7FM, The DRIVE's web and FB and Alexa The DRIVE on the Tune In app.)

This morning in The Recovery Room, we're going Solo, featuring those rockers who decided to go it alone. Some were leaving bands, others wanted to go it alone from the start, and some put out solo albums while staying in their band. I'll also have some interesting rock trivia, history notes and local spotlights on Dan Holmes and Jon Liebing, a few of our CNY Solo Rockers. This Sunday morning in The Recovery Room, we set sail at 9am for our 3-hour tour- it's the return of my Yacht Rock show! From Steely Dan and The Doobies to deep cuts from Boz Scaggs, Robert Palmer, Alan Parsons and 1-hit wonders from Starbuck, Looking Glass and Ace. This is a show that I look forward to every summer and you can help me pick the tunes that fit, in the comments below.
