After four videos, the test is finally complete.

I set out to answer one question: can a portable electric paint sprayer be a realistic alternative for makers who don’t have the space or budget for a full compressor and HVLP setup?

For me, the answer is yes.

It’s not perfect, and there are definitely a few things I’d improve, but those don’t outweigh the results. This sprayer ended up exceeding any expectations I had for it. If you’re trying to move beyond spray cans without investing in a compressor and full HVLP setup, I genuinely think this is a great alternative.

This reel wraps up the build, where I go over what comes in the kit, the controls, cleanup, and my overall thoughts after painting this entire Mandalorian helmet from filler primer to gloss black, Duralumen chrome, and 2K clear coat.

Part 3 is complete, and this was the one I was most excited for. ✨

Chrome is the stage that really puts a paint setup to the test, and seeing this Mandalorian helmet come to life has been incredibly satisfying. I still have a few thoughts on the sprayer that I’ll save for my full review, but it’s hard to argue with these results so far.

One final step left… 2K clear coat. Stay tuned.

Can a small electric paint sprayer actually deliver pro-level results without a full HVLP setup?

I’m testing this InoKraft sprayer on a full Mandalorian helmet paint job to find out.

We’re starting with filler primer — the foundation of any good finish. If this step isn’t smooth, nothing else matters.

Over the next parts, I’ll be pushing it through gloss black, chrome, and a 2K clear coat to see if it can handle a full cosplay-grade paint process from start to finish.

Let’s see what it can really do.
