Another fun lap up Mt. Whitney 14,505’/4444m - helps me keep my acclimatization from Nepal last month. I actually got back from Nepal 🇳🇵 and had 2 quick days at home Before I jumped on a plane and went over to meet some peeps for a little jaunt up The lower 48’s highest summit. I’ve submitted this mountain countless times over the years - it’s always a fun one. There was great snow to climb as well, and a fantastic sunrise with a moonlit starry night start. Then by Friday I hit back from the hike/ climb and ran a 5k- then a 10k at the GoPro Mountain Games . People ask me why I keep doing this, this mountain addiction- and many people have asked me if I’m exhausted from such a crazy schedule. But honestly- it’s the opposite. I am MORE energized and more stoked to have the time and ability to do this in my life. It feeds my soul. I’ll do it as long as it still pushes me and as long as I still love it. Plus it keeps me Everest Ready for bigger things ahead…… coming soon! What are you passionate about? What keeps you going on the daily?

Fun times this past weekend with family and friends at one of my favorite events of the year - got to just enjoy being HOME and running some races 🏃‍♂️ of course! The 10k on Sunday is always a nice test of seeing where my fitness is at and always love checking out the doc dogs 🐕 too! Thanks for supporting my races and keeping such a solid event going here in Vail every year!

🇳🇵 Honored and privileged to have spent yesterday representing the USA 🇺🇸 at the US Embassy’s Summit Ascent event right here in Kathmandu!
Reflecting on 7 Everest expeditions over the years is one thing, but sitting on a panel to share that deep knowledge of the mountain and all its climate, sustainability, culture, and complexity with an incredible audience and my fellow speakers was pure joy.
Huge thank you to the , , and everyone on the team in Nepal working tirelessly behind the scenes for putting together such an outstanding, fun event.
This was the perfect conclusion to my time in Nepal. Now, it’s time to use this incredible momentum to springboard into a massive summer and fall seasons full of travel and adventures ahead! 🏔️✨

What’s one BIG project or event you are looking forward to this summer? Happy June 1!

Happy Everest Day, 2026! Today is the 73rd anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Everest. I’m fondly reminded of a time 5 years ago with my dear friend and client where we were stuck in Camp 2 for 5 days during our summit push. On Everest day, May 29th we had to dig our tent out from the massive snowstorm that hit us in camp 2. But we were resilient on that expedition and we also saw the Snow as a positive once the avalanche danger went away. The Snow covered the Lhotse Face and made for really nice climbing conditions and we actually waited and made a June 1 summit that season!

Grateful for the times I’ve spent on the mountain of Sagarmatha and proud to be a part of the history started by Tenzing Norgay and Ed Hilary back in the day.
