Empower VHA Threads For Success EmpowerVHA | Threads for Success
More than clothes—Threads for Success helps public housing residents show up confident and prepared.

With ROSS, Jobs Plus, Royal Academy & Section 3, we offer attire, resume help, interview prep, and empowerment workshops. Welcome to the official page for Valdosta Housing Authority Resident Services, where we are committed to empowering residents to achieve economic independence, personal growth, and lifelong success. Under the visionary leadership of Angela Hargrove Holder, our Resident

Services team provides a range of programs designed to meet the diverse needs of our community.

✨ Jobs Plus Program
Our HUD-funded Jobs Plus Program offers career development opportunities, job placement assistance, professional skills training, and financial literacy resources to help residents unlock their full potential. We collaborate with local businesses and community partners to provide meaningful pathways to success.

✨ Section 3 Program
Through the Section 3 Program, we connect residents with job training, employment, and contracting opportunities. This initiative focuses on ensuring our community members benefit from local projects funded by local community resources.

✨ ROSS Program
The Resident Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) program is designed to connect residents with critical resources, including life skills training, educational support, and health and wellness initiatives. By addressing the unique challenges of each individual, the ROSS program fosters growth and independence.

✨ Royal Academy After-School Program
The Royal Academy ASP provides a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children after school. Through homework help, enrichment activities, and mentorship, we help young scholars build a solid foundation for a bright future. Follow our page to stay updated on events like the Royal Ross Resource Events, workshops, clothing drives, and more. Together, we are building a stronger, more vibrant community!
