Congratulations to Soror Gabrielle Sams on being selected as a recipient of the 2026 Colquitt EMC Bright Ideas Grant! 🎉

Soror Sams is a phenomenal mathematics educator at Valdosta Early College Academy (VECA) and was awarded $1,000 to bring her innovative proposal, “My Major Makes Money Move!”, to life.

This grant will provide VECA scholars with rich, engaging opportunities to explore mathematics, financial literacy, career pathways, and real-world applications of their learning.

We were proud to cheer on students for their commitment to showing up, staying engaged, and making every school day count. Good attendance builds strong habits and helps pave the way for academic success!

During National Hazing Prevention Week, we reaffirm our responsibility to educate, empower, and work toward eliminating all forms of hazing. Guided by Care, Courage, and Accountability, we stand united in our continued commitment to Violets Over Violence—Protecting the Bond and preserving the strength of our Sisterhood.
