After almost 40 years of being a wedding DJ, I am continually challenged by new wedding trends, Bride and Groom’s visions, weather, and a host of other items, but it’s why I love what you allow me to do!

This Bride and Groom had a vision of a “Renaissance Themed” wedding including costumes, make up, decor, ceremony verbabe, music and even the guest embraced the theme and got involved.

LKG provided her normal beautiful backdrop for the ceremony but then the rains came for the reception, but that didn’t stop the party for this group. The night included the Bride arriving by boat, singing and dancing in the rain, in lieu of a Father/Bride dance they performed a song together( how cool is that), a quick dip in the lake by the Bride and Groom, a game of “Stump”, and a last dance by the fire surrounded by family and friends, what a way to end your reception and start the rest of your life together!

The food prepared by The Kitchen Table was presented perfectly and tasted delicious and the cocktails mixed by The Pour Crew fit in the theme perfectly and set the vibe for the night.

Lake-A-Palooza 25’ delivered the goods and did not disappoint. Thank you so much for letting me do what I love to do!

When I tell you I have the best job in the world I mean it. This morning I had the absolute honor of DJing the wedding of some true American heroes. Yes the Bride & Groom are both serving in the US Marines! I am so blessed to meet the people that I meet, please help me congratulate the happiest couple in the world today, and the couple who has sacrificed everything to keep us all safe and who allows us to live in this great country, Mr. & Mrs. Aaron Thompsonn!

After the reception I took the Bride & Groom as well as some of the Marines and their family for a ride on The Gaston as a small Thank You for their sacrafice.

As always Southern Grace Weddings and Events knocked it out of the park!

Sometimes in life things come full circle. I had the privilege of coaching these young men in youth baseball and watching them grow up into fine young men and yesterday I had the honor of DJ’ing one of their weddings! When they called me “Coach” yesterday i got that huge lump in my throat along with a touch of the teary eyes. I am so proud of all of these guys!

Please help me wish the new Mr. & Mrs. Brandon Rolfe all the love and success that life has to offer! Man did this crowd know how to party.

P.S. they thought we were just playing baseball, and how the hell did I become the shortest one in the pic???

Southern Virginia has so many awesome wedding locations including everything that the Town of Clarksville has to offer. The quaint little downtown shops, multiple eateries, lakefront motels, wineries and breweries provide all the entertainmentent your out of town guest need to make your wedding a weekend getaway for you and your guest

The Pavillion at Occoneechee State Park provided beautiful lake view location for this wedding and Coopers Landing was the perfect spot for thier reception. From poolside seating, multiple photo spots, to their large covered deck area, and ofcourse their delicious food and tasty cocktails, they have an awesome spot for a party, I can’t wait until I have the opportunity to play there again.
