What a fun night to end my 2025 Wedding Season. I have had so much fun over the past 25 years or so performing for the Grigg family, and last night was no exception.

The winter crisp in the air coupled with all the Christmas themed details set the tone for this perfect wedding.

This crowd requested everything from Beach music to country, line dances and of course hip hop dance songs. I tried my best to deliver on all of the request and I think a fun night was had by all!

I also got to work with some great wedding vendors which made my job easy with smooth setups and seamless transitions from ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception.

Loving on all the details that Denise Beaver with Simplicity Floral NC added to the floral arrangements, and the sweets by Stephanie Rawlings with Steph’s Southern Spoon were just delicious.

This wedding was so awesome I don’t even know where to begin! Down by the pond on the family farm was the perfect spot for these two love birds to get married.

The Bride arrived in style in this cool car and the Groom’s Father was the Officiant, how awesome is that!

The dance floor stayed packed from the first song til’ the last, just look at all the smiling faces and the fun they are having. The Groom’s Fraternity Brothers brought the heat and the Bride’s Tribe brought the party! It’s safe to say that Appomattox knows how to party!

Weddings are about Love stories and life journeys. This sweet couple who met during a Church camp were surrounded by family and Church members as they read their own wedding vows and expressed their deep love and commitment to one another.

Mother Nature blessed this wedding as well with a beautiful afternoon at Southern Grace Weddings and Events. The “A Team” Emily Payne and Patty Crowling were back together as we worked as a team to make sure that the visions of the Bride and Groom were met with seamless transitions and attention to every detail. We are so lucky to have this awesome venue right here in Brunswick County just minutes away from Lake Gaston.

What a fun night with this special couple at The Pavilion at Mimosa Lake! This venue pays attention to every detail to make your wedding unforgettable. Located just about a short 1 hour drive from anywhere in central Virginia on its very own private 33 acre lake, it is full of charm and special details that are sure to not only WOW you, but your guests as well. This wedding was built on a 7 year love story between Andrew and Emily. They were surrounded by family and friends on a beautiful fall day to express their love for one another.

In a world of competing wedding venues, I LOVE how this Bride chose a special place that holds a dear spot in her heart. How many stories, games, bumps, bruises, scraped knees, and memories do you think this beautiful tree holds for Katie and her family? It provided a simple, yet perfect backdrop, for yesterday’s wedding.

The weather was absolutely perfect but didn’t match the beauty of the Bride or the handsomeness of the Groom.

I have known both families for years and have watched these two kids grow up through youth and highschool sports. It was my great honor for them to include me in their big day, man where has the time gone.

This was the first time that I had worked with Haley Moody Daniel as the photographer and she was awesome and so easy to work with. Highly recommend!

It had been a while since I played a wedding in Chase City, but let me tell ya, they can still throw it down with the
best of ‘em.

After almost 2 years of planning for this wedding, Party Time Music was back at The Roxabel Venue.

The Roxabel provided the perfect backdrop for this fun, loving, couple. From scenic views, to the perfect patio for the cocktail hour, to the barn with just the perfect amount of charm, and a professional staff, The Roxabel leaves nothing to be desired for to produce your childhood dream wedding.

From the first song til the last, these JMU alumni packed the dance floor and man did they bring the party. I was so honored to be included in their special night. Just check out all the fun they were having in the pictures. When the dancefloor is packed before the sun goes down, you know it’s going to be a good night!

Sometimes as a wedding DJ you have to be prepared to pivot to plan B, C, and even D. The rains Saturday did not let LKG show her beauty but yet made us move this wedding inside and after working with the other wedding vendors and planners, it turned out just perfect.

This is why I love being a part of a team that works together and has the flexibilty and the willingness to go the extra mile to make sure the Bride and Groom’s vision is put to the forefront of every decision. After 40 years of this crazy business I’m proud to say that I have been blessed to work with the best of the best.

The food prepared by Robin Crabel and her staff at The Kitchen Table was presented beautifully and tasted delicious and Mackenzie Finch with Finchland Photography was so easy to work with in helping me design a timeline that captured and created opportunities to meet Bride and Groom’s wedding visions, we never skipped a beat.

This wedding provided so many special details from the majestic mountains, the sweetest couple and they got married on my birthday in Howardsville Va. not named after my Dad but his name was Howard, how cool is that!

After almost 40 years of being a wedding DJ, I am continually challenged by new wedding trends, Bride and Groom’s visions, weather, and a host of other items, but it’s why I love what you allow me to do!

This Bride and Groom had a vision of a “Renaissance Themed” wedding including costumes, make up, decor, ceremony verbabe, music and even the guest embraced the theme and got involved.

LKG provided her normal beautiful backdrop for the ceremony but then the rains came for the reception, but that didn’t stop the party for this group. The night included the Bride arriving by boat, singing and dancing in the rain, in lieu of a Father/Bride dance they performed a song together( how cool is that), a quick dip in the lake by the Bride and Groom, a game of “Stump”, and a last dance by the fire surrounded by family and friends, what a way to end your reception and start the rest of your life together!

The food prepared by The Kitchen Table was presented perfectly and tasted delicious and the cocktails mixed by The Pour Crew fit in the theme perfectly and set the vibe for the night.

Lake-A-Palooza 25’ delivered the goods and did not disappoint. Thank you so much for letting me do what I love to do!

Thanks to The Gaston for providing the stage and a perfect party backdrop!
