Delighted to return to Carnegie Hall on Tuesday, June 30, for a very special concert with the Arcadia Symphony and Chorus! I will be working with my dear friend and colleague, Michael Fennelly, Pianist, who is Music Director of the Arcadia Symphony! He has put together a wonderful program that includes Gershwin's immortal "Rhapsody in Blue," which Michael will play on the piano and I will conduct! I will also be serving as Chorus Master. Hope to see some friends in the audience!

I am so excited to begin my 20th season of making music in Ocean Grove’s Great Auditorium! So excited to work with my talented musical colleagues and the hundreds of fantastic choral singers that come every year. This position has changed my life and my family and I could not love this community any more! To God be the Glory!

I am delighted to invite singers to join me for the 2027 Mainly Mozart Choir Tour, an extraordinary musical journey through Salzburg, Vienna, Linz, and Prague.

Together, we will perform Mozart’s Requiem and other works in the very cities and cultural landscapes that shaped one of history’s greatest musical legacies. This tour offers singers the rare opportunity to combine meaningful choral performance, musical pilgrimage, and unforgettable travel through the heart of Central Europe.

We are currently looking for passionate choral singers to be part of this special ensemble. If you have ever dreamed of singing Mozart in the places where his music lives and breathes, this is a remarkable opportunity.

Meet Our Conductors - Joseph Martin

On Saturday, July 18 at 7pm, I look forward to taking the podium alongside some truly incredible colleagues at the Ocean Grove Choral Festival. In preparation for this special event, I am highlighting each conductor who will be joining me next month. Today, I am featuring Joseph Martin, a man of many talents and a robust catalogue of choral music. Read more about Joseph below, and make sure to learn more about our Choral Festival (and sign up to perform) at https://www.oceangrove.org/festival-details

Joseph Martin, a native of North Carolina, earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Subsequently he earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at the University of Texas, Austin. Joseph taught for five years in the Piano Pedagogy Department of the University of Texas. While at Furman University, he was accompanist for choral director and composer Milburn Price and, inspired by his teaching, Martin began to compose. Some lesser-known Mendelssohn for a lovely Tuesday in NYC. The Fair Melusine (The Fair Melusine) is a shimmering concert overture depicting a water spirit who longs to join the human realm! Loved performing this with the Adelphi Orchestra a few seasons ago!
