It is incredibly exciting to return to Carnegie Hall this fall for a collaboration with an extraordinary group of international artists, composers, and musicians.

On Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 7:30 PM, the MidAtlantic Philharmonic Orchestra will perform in Zankel Hall for the American launch of Renaissance-21, featuring the world premiere of Rachmaninoff’s Lost Suite in D Minor—a remarkable work rediscovered after more than a century as a piano manuscript and newly orchestrated by composer and pianist Teodor Doré, with the endorsement of the Rachmaninoff family.

The program will also feature classical masterworks and music by contemporary composers, united by a shared artistic vision: the restoration of beauty, the revival of tonal music, and the return of harmony as a cultural value.

I am very much looking forward to sharing this extraordinary evening with our musicians, collaborators, and audience at Carnegie Hall.

As I prepare to step onto the podium for today’s Sacred Masterwork Concert at Ocean Grove’s Great Auditorium, I find myself reflecting with tremendous gratitude. This will be my 20th Sacred Masterwork, a milestone that is hard for me to fully comprehend.

So much has changed over these twenty years. My children have grown up—and this year, two of them are involved in the performance. My career has taken me in directions I never could have anticipated when I first conducted this concert. And through it all, I have continued to learn, grow, and be inspired by the extraordinary singers, soloists, and orchestral musicians with whom I have had the privilege to make music.

One of the great gifts of being a conductor is realizing that the learning never stops. Every rehearsal, every collaboration, and every performance teaches you something new—not only about music, but about people, community, and yourself.

I am deeply thankful to the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, to the countless musicians who have shared this stage with me over the years, and to the audiences who have made the Sacred Masterwork such a meaningful tradition.

Today, as we bring Mozart’s Requiem and Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass to life in the Great Auditorium, I am especially grateful for the journey—and for the privilege of continuing to make music in this extraordinary place. Hope to see lots of friends in the audience!

As I prepare to step onto the podium for today’s Sacred Masterwork Concert at Ocean Grove’s Great Auditorium, I find myself reflecting with tremendous gratitude. This will be my 20th Sacred Masterwork, a milestone that is hard for me to fully comprehend.

We are only one week away from Ocean Grove’s Annual Sacred Masterworks Concert - Echoes of Eternity, featuring Mozart’s Requiem and Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass. In preparation for this beautiful concert, I am highlighting our quartet of soloists for Mozart’s Requiem. Today, learn more about our mezzo-soprano soloist, Laura Zahn. Make sure you join us for this special evening of music - free of charge - on Sunday, August 23 at 7pm at the Great Auditorium!

Dramatic mezzo-soprano, Laura Zahn, has been praised for her “warm, voluptuous voice” (Broadway World) “captivating with her powerful delivery” (Operawire). In the 2025-26 season Ms. Zahn performed Maddalena (Rigoletto) in her mainstage debut with Indianapolis Opera, sang Sea Pictures with the Adelphi Orchestra and had her solo debut in three oratorios: Beethoven’s 9th Symphony (Emory Symphony), Rossini’s Stabat Mater (St. Mary’s Masterwork Chorale), and Bach’s St. John Passion (West Side Presbyterian Oratorio Choir.) In the 2026-27 season, she is currently scheduled to perform Ma Moss (The Tender Land) with Park City Opera, Mary (Der fliegende Holländer) with Opera Orlando, cover the role of Caesonia in the world premiere of Caligula’s Favorite Play at the historic Teatro Olimpico in Venice, and sing Mozart’s Requiem with both the MidAtlantic Symphony and Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestras.

What a joyful and inspiring evening of music at last night’s Taghkanic Chorale Summer Sing of Mozart’s Requiem!

There is something extraordinary about bringing together a community of musicians to experience this timeless masterpiece, and last night’s performance was filled with tremendous energy, commitment, and beautiful music-making. It was a pleasure to conduct such an excellent gathering of singers and artists.

My sincere thanks to our superb pianist, Thomas Molessa, and our wonderful quartet of soloists: Veronica Shea, Kirsten Sollek, John Burke, and Richard Lippold. And a very special thank you to the many excellent choristers who joined us and brought Mozart’s magnificent score to life with such enthusiasm and artistry.

Now, onward to the next Mozart Requiem! On August 23, I’ll have the privilege of conducting the annual Sacred Masterwork at Ocean Grove’s Great Auditorium, featuring Mozart’s Requiem alongside Ola Gjeilo’s luminous Sunrise Mass.

Join me on Sunday, August 23 at 7pm for our Annual Ocean Grove Sacred Masterworks Concert, featuring Mozart’s Requiem and Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass!

Echoes of Eternity: Mozart’s Requiem and Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass” unites two masterworks that contemplate life, light, and the mysteries beyond. I will take the podium alongside The Great Auditorium Choir, our Solo Quartet, and the MidAtlantic Philharmonic Orchestra for an evening of profound beauty and spiritual reflection, with Dr. Gordon Turk at the organ.
