Mark Johnson had never heard of the National Marrow Donor Program before Andy Waddle was hired as Valpo Football's head coach in 2024. After hearing the touching story of Waddle's family, Johnson put his name on a list. When he was told his bone marrow could save the life of a stranger, the Valparaiso senior captain didn't hesitate.
