When I launched The Victory Bell, I knew it would allow me to go more in-depth on a lot of the Valpo Athletics sports that I was already covering. I also knew it would allow me to cover sports that never got coverage in the newspaper.

I was thrilled to spend Friday night watching Valpo Swimming compete. Both the men's and women's programs were battling sickness and injury, but they pushed through. It's an inspiring group of athletes that are in the pool by 6a and they certainly don't do it for glory. They do it for each other.
