In April, sweet Kellan was diagnosed with precursor B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Kellan’s Kommunity, Inc., a nonprofit inspired by Kellan’s fight, was created by her mother's desire to support other families who are going through this. On Saturday, December 14, the first-ever event, “Kellan’s Kommunity Holiday Haven,” will be hosted at The Studer Children Family Hospital in Pensacola. They are working directly with the Child Life department to bring a little comfort and care to parents who are spending the holidays in the pediatric oncology unit with their children.
Here’s what they are hoping to provide:
• Gift baskets with items for parents and their hospitalized children.
• Complimentary services like facials, manicures, hairstyling, and holiday photos for families.
• Charcuterie style snacks for parents to take back to their rooms.
• A catered dinner in the family lounge for parents to enjoy together.
But to make this happen, they need your help!!
🎁 Looking for:
• An aesthetician to provide facials (using non-toxic products) and possibly manicures.
• A hairstylist for blowouts or simple men’s haircuts (minimal water access available).
• A photographer who can bring a mobile backdrop to capture holiday-style photos inside hospital rooms.
• A charcuterie vendor to provide snack boxes or create a board for the event room.
• A restaurant or vendor to donate or cater dinner for the family lounge the evening of the event.
🎁 Donations Needed:
• Businesses or individuals willing to donate products, gift cards, or gift certificates to include in the gift baskets for parents and families.
• Monetary donations to help fund everything, which you can make here: http://spot.fund/plvw1tsc
